Sometimes people give assent to God and God’s existence but do not know God.  Such was the situation of Eli, the high priest’s sons.  Or, we may have a relationship with God, such as Eli himself, yet tolerate sin. Both situations fail to recognize the proper glory of God or God’s weightiness, His presence. 

I have come to the conclusion that I do not like anything that has the suffix “lite” added to it.  I do not like light Milk, or light coffee creamer.  It is never a good sign when I put my coffee creamer in and the color of the coffee does not change.  Some time ago there was Pepsi-lite which tasted nothing like Pepsi.  When you remove something of the original substance it loses its flavor.  Give me instead the heavy original.

The Declaration Of Independence is one of the greatest documents in human history.  The country that this document spawned would keep the free-world free and change the structure of human history.  But today, most are unaware of its importance or its influence throughout our country and the world.  Our DOI and our successful War of Independence would launch a similar even in France. 

Bo Jackson is one of Major League sports all-time great players, although his career was cut short by a leg injury, the years that he played both Major League Baseball and in the NFL were impressive.  He amassed a number of accomplishments and was on his way to great things and made a lot of money.  Yet what haunted Bo was the absence of his father.
